DIRECT FIRED
Since 1975, Applied Air has been providing cost-effective, reliable heating
solutions. Their Direct Fired gas heating systems add warm, fresh and
clean air to the work environment for about 20% less than the operation and
maintenance cost of indirect gas heat. Applied Air offers three styles of Direct Fired gas heating
systems (DDC controls standard on direct fired products):
-Indoor units (DFM) to 64,000
CFM
-Outdoor units (DFC) to 100,000 CFM
-Small
indoor or outdoor units (DFL)
AdaptAire DDC Control Configurations
MDT - Modulating Discharge Temperature
MRT - Modulating Room Temperature
-the most basic AdaptAire control for discharge/room temperature
control
MRT Pro - Modulating Room Temperature
-provides limited information regarding unit operation on an
LCD display and allows the user to adjust a few basic operational
parameters at the room thermostat
MRT
Expert - Modulating Room Temperature
-provides full information regarding unit operation and allows the
user to adjust all operational parameters using the included BACview
panel
WebCTRL
- Software that provides full information regarding unit operation
and allows the user to adjust all operational parameters via an
Internet-based interface
INDIRECT FIRED
The flexible, "modular" IF Indirect Fired heating systems add warm,
fresh and clean air to your work environment at the highest practical efficiency
of 80%. The units are available for:
-Indoors
(IF)
-Outdoors
(IFW)
-Roof
curb mounting (IFR)
-DOAS (IFL)
Air Turnover Systems
Air Turnover systems create uniform temperature throughout the conditioned
space. The result is greater comfort for people in the room and
significant savings on heating and cooling costs.
Air Turnover Heating Systems
For heating, the system picks up air at the floor (where it is the coolest),
then heats it and returns it to the space above. Room air turns over 1 to
3 times each hour. The result is a comfortable, uniform room temperature
from floor to ceiling.
Three styles of heating-only systems:
-Straight
gas fired (IFP)
-Non
gas fired "slave" (IFS)
-Gas
fired for small spaces (IFJ)
Air Turnover Cooling Systems
For cooling, the system continuously recirculates large volumes of air to
eliminate the room's thermal barrier. The result is a "comfort
zone" from the unit discharge down to the floor level. Extending the
height of the discharge increases the height of the comfort zone. Air in
the comfort zone turns over 3.5 to 5 times each hour.
Two styles of heating/cooling systems:
-Gas
fired with cooling coiling (IFA)
-Gas
fired with cooling coil for small spaces (IFJ)
