APPLIED AIR
For Commercial and Industrial Direct Fired, Indirect Fired and Air Turnover Applications.  Applied Air has the solution for your climate control needs.

Direct Fired

Since 1975, Applied Air has been providing cost-effective, reliable heating solutions.  Their Direct Fired gas heating systems add warm, fresh and clean air to the work environment for about 20% less than the operation and maintenance cost of indirect gas heat.  Applied Air offers three styles of Direct Fired gas heating systems (DDC controls standard on direct fired products):

Indoor units (DFM) to 64,000 CFM
Outdoor units (DFC) to 100,000 CFM
Small indoor or outdoor units (DFL)

Indirect Fired
The flexible, "modular" IF Indirect Fired heating systems add warm, fresh and clean air to your work environment at the highest practical efficiency of 80%.
  The units are available for:

Indoors (IF)
Outdoors (IFW)
Roof curb mounting (IFR)
DOAS (IFL)

Air Turnover Systems
Air Turnover systems create uniform temperature throughout the conditioned space.  The result is greater comfort for people in the room and significant savings on heating and cooling costs.

Air Turnover Heating Systems
Three styles of heating-only systems:

Straight gas fired (IFP)
Non gas fired "slave" (IFS)
Gas fired for small spaces (IFJ)

For heating, the system picks up air at the floor (where it is the coolest), then heats it and returns it to the space above.  Room air turns over 1 to 3 times each hour.  The result is a comfortable, uniform room temperature from floor to ceiling.

Air Turnover Cooling Systems
Two styles of heating/cooling systems:

Gas fired with cooling coiling (IFA)
Gas fired with cooling coil for small spaces (IFJ)

For cooling, the system continuously recirculates large volumes of air to eliminate the room's thermal barrier.  The result is a "comfort zone" from the unit discharge down to the floor level.  Extending the height of the discharge increases the height of the comfort zone.  Air in the comfort zone turns over 3.5 to 5 times each hour.

KING Air Curtains
King air curtains create a dynamic "barrier of air"- tailored to the specifics of the opening it is mounted over.  Air curtains are purchased for many reasons; as an effective thermal barrier for a controlled climate, or to keep insects and airborne particulates out of critical process areas.

AdaptAire™ Control System

AdaptAire prepares you for the latest regulatory changes, smarter, quicker, and more completely than virtually any other system.

The new ANSI standard Z83.18 provides direct fired units with two methods of compliance.  The equivalent temperature rise (ETR) method utilized by AdaptAire controls temperature rise through the unit based on the ratio of outside air to return air.  Greater volume of outside air allows greater temperature rise.

AdaptAire meets the ETL requirement for repeatable measurement within 5% accuracy of the standard through sophisticated velocity pressure sensors placed across the return air opening.  Sensor readings are relayed to a networkable DDC controller every two seconds, where they are compared against a definable standard (velocity pressure at 100% return air) to calculate precise percentage of outside air.  The DDC controller then determines the maximum allowable temperature rise and modulates the gas valve.

AdaptAire DDC Controls offer unparalleled flexiblity and digital precision.  The DDC Control configurations offer:

*Networking
*Remote access
*Diagnostics
*Precise control
*Discharge or Room temperature control
*Automatic changeover from  heat-to-vent-to-cool commands
*Open protocols
*Tighter control for better energy performance
