FUEL SAVING SOLUTIONS

Many applications resulting in annual fuel savings of 30-50%

Annual heating costs are important in the operating cost of any building.  Solaronics heating systems can help reduce fuel costs.  The major factors influencing annual fuel costs are the average inside air temperature and the efficiency of the heating system.

In the design of any heating system, the engineer computes a heat loss.  Heat that is lost for a building depends primarily upon the difference in air temperature between the inside air and the outside air.  When air only is used to heat a building, the air used to do the heating must be warmer than the inside air in order to overcome the losses through the walls and roof.  This heated air, therefore, will rise to the roof or ceiling resulting in the largest transmission of heat loss.

Since infra-red heaters warm objects and people directly and do not require air movement as a means of heat transfer, several benefits are provided in comparison with conventional forced air heaters:

-fuel savings of 30 to 50%

-payback periods of one to three years
-reduced heat losses
-lower ceiling air temperatures
-cleaner and quieter working environment
-warmer floors and surroundings

If you would like reduced fuel costs at your facility, FREE software is available to you to conduct a heat loss computation.  Simply fill out the fields below and software will be sent to you to assist you in the design, analysis, and recommendation of a fuel efficient infra-red heating system for your building.

If you prefer a technical sales engineer to do the computation, one of our engineers will visit your location and work up a fuel cost analysis for you.  We will set up an appointment to survey your facility, work up the design and analysis, and discuss with you our results and recommendations for your fuel savings.

Case History

Solaronics Infa-red Heaters Delivered 64.5% Energy Savings and Employee Comfort Right to the Receiving Dock.

The Truck Receiving Dock 66 at the General Motors Fisher Body Plant had been a source of almost constant employee complaints during the heating season.  Despite management's efforts to maintain as uniform a temperature as possible, the employees were either too hot or too cold depending on the amount of traffic that day.
The conclusion?  The Solaronics infra-red gas-fired heater system was an effective and fuel-efficient answer over the standard forced air systems that were in the receiving dock, and the employee reaction was immediate and positive.  Further, the expense to install the infra-red system was cost-justified by the fuel savings.  In this case, a payback was obtained in less than one heating season.
